I've just returned home from vacationing at the NC coast. Nice see'in those sea oats! Anyway, Now it's time to start the process over again. This morning, I'm headed to the studio to clean up the mess I've left behind. I'll be making pots all week long. That's exciting to me. I'm making this next load of pots for the Mint Museum's 5th Annual Potters Market Invitational. This is the second year that I've been invited. NC peeps sure are serious about their pottery! It's a great show with a nice range of work. There's folk pottery, contemporary pottery, ceramic sculpture, and verything in between. I've been asked to donate a pot to a raffle they hold each year. I think I'll make something special for it. Stay tuned for an update on that. Now, on to the studio!

Thanks y'all!
I'd just like to thank all of the members of the Southern Highland Craft Guild who made me feel so welcome at the Craft Fair. Also, thanks to all those who stopped in to see me. The fair was wonderful and sales were great. The booth worked out nicely, but next time I'd like a corner booth. Now, I'm headed to Raleigh and then Atlantic Beach. ..sigh.

SHCG Preview

This new booth, all new, turned out great. The only thing I would do for the next show is get another strip of track lighting. I've spent enough money on this booth for now. Probably around $1200. It's been a lot of work making pots, decorating, firing, AND creating a whole new booth. Oh, did I say I have a 3.5 year old boy AND a 5 week old baby girl. Ya feel me? I'd like to specifically thank my loving and supporting wife, Carrie, who has been more than supportive through these last few weeks. I love her to death. Okay, wish me luck, or better yet, come see me at booth 116 at the Asheville Civic center. Thanks for all of your support as well. I can't do it without YOU! Monday, July 13, 2009
