I'm in desperate need of some more space and ware racks. My pots just keep getting bigger and my current space stays the same size (72 square feet). So I'm moving. I've been keeping my eyes and ears open for new studio options. I recently found what I was looking for. My new space should be around 300+ square feet, have a large parking lot for customers, an intimate garden for chillin', and the best BBQ restaurant in town right next door (12 Bones).
I am going to miss my peeps at the Clayspace Co-op. I've been a part of that group for 2 1/2 years and have gained some incredible friendships. That studio is something special and I will miss it. In fact, I will miss all of my neighbors as well, including the Wedge Brewery downstairs. It's not like I'm moving to a different town or anything. Actually, It's literally just across the tracks. I can see my old studio from my new one!
I've made a fancy new postcard (5.5" X 8.5") announcing my new move. If you think you'd like one, send me your snail mail address at carpenterpottery[at]bellsouth[dot]net and I'll make sure you get one. The image above is on the front of the postcard.
So let's have us an awesome 2010. Oh, and come see me sometime at the new space!

Next time I'm in town, I'll check you out. You know I like your work, but best of all I like checking out new BBQ dives. I usually stop in at Phil's BBQ off 40 on Hwy 9 when I'm in the area. I am a conoseur of BBQ and pottery.
Congratulations, Kyle. Sounds like a good move. Leaving a brewery to be near a BBQ joint is ... well ... sort of an even trade, I guess. Would love to put your postcard up on my studio wall. Address is Hollis Engley, Hatchville Pottery, 494 Boxberry Hill Rd., E. Falmouth, MA 02536. Happy New Year to you.
a new studio!? that's exciting. and bbq to boot? well, that's just serendipitous.
I woke up New Year's Day and fixed coffee for myself and my beau, he drinking out of one of your cups I bought at Mudfire this Fall. Beautiful. Have a productive, happy new year.

Lots and lots of mazel (luck) in your new space.
Congratulations, Kyle! I love the garden at Curve Studios. What a great space - then again you can't go wrong in the River District. We'll have to take a field trip from the Folk Art Center to see your new place this Spring!
Congrats on your new space! Sounds great!
