Here's a video of me sliding two "salt burritos" into the firebox of the kiln.
Wow, I'm friggin' sleepy. I stayed up late with the kiln last night. I finally turned the kiln off at 2:30am and went straight to bed. My son woke me up at 7am. Again, I'm beat.
My last look in the spyholes showed a lot of bubbly salt buildup on one of the kiln shelves. Not so much on the others. I think this is due to me unknowingly distributing the salt into the firebox closest to that particular shelf. Anyway, I'm not a fan of the salt build up on shelves because I almost always lose a pot or two from these salt bubbles dripping down onto pots and ruining them. I'll unload on thursday afternoon and snap some pictures for the blog.
