Pitcher

Here's a nice large pitcher for your sweet tea! It's still available at AKAR Design Gallery. I've really been into pouring vessels lately. I made six pitchers and a few teapots this past weekend and just want to make more. I went through a time when no one bought pitchers, so I stopped making them. I never was happy with my forms either. I'm now happy with the form and really enjoy making them. I've also sold four in the past six weeks, so I'm making more. This pitcher was covered in a Tile 6 slip, then wiped off with my hand to reveal the clay. It's hand painted with commercial underglaze and then details are scratched in. It's lined with "the" glaze. The firing is gas/salt, cone 10. Find it here: http://www.akardesign.com/shows/new_work.asp

Blogged it on an iPad!

I guess it shows when you like what you do! I like your pitchers, too!
