Looks like this was a really nice firing. It is still very hot and the door is only unbricked a quarter of the way. This bowl shows the salt glaze build up on the raw, unslipped/unglazed clay. Stay tuned for more pics of the kiln load.
May I ask what clay body this piece is? I really like the orange-peeling on the side of it, and wondered if the clay body had a lot of free silica, or if it just looks that good all the time!

The raw salt is beautiful, I love the texture. I hope the rest of the pieces look this great. Post pictures.
